Working with Kevin Fernando has been a game-changer for my professional and personal growth. From day one, his leadership stood out—not just for his sharp strategic mind or ability to navigate complex challenges, but for his unwavering integrity and deep respect for every individual on the team. 

After working with Kevin for a short time at Textron Fastening Systems, I found myself genuinely inspired. I asked him directly what I needed to do to work for him. That pivotal moment changed the trajectory of my professional career, which is a testament to Kevin’s ability to ignite both ambition and belief in those around him.  When it came to my post-grad education, Kevin didn't just offer support from the sidelines, he drove me to complete it, personally filling in the gaps and ensuring I had the knowledge to succeed.

Beyond the office, Kevin quickly became one of my best friends and a trusted advisor in all my career choices. His knack for blending sharp insights with genuine care makes every high-stakes decision and life-changing conversation feel like an adventure. Whether it’s mapping out career trajectories or sharing a lighthearted moment, Kevin’s mentorship is marked by a perfect mix of wisdom and warmth. 

Kevin is an innate teacher, generous with his knowledge, patient in his approach, and always eager to see others grow. He doesn't just direct; he leads by example, demonstrating the kind of excellence, accountability, and compassion that inspire others to rise to their full potential.

Under Kevin’s leadership at Infastech, we not only achieved incredible results in record time, but somehow managed to find joy in the hustle, sometimes laughing while moving at the speed of light, all while navigating the inevitable growing pains of a fast-paced environment. That rare blend of execution and humanity is what sets Kevin apart.

Whether it was in high-pressure moments or casual conversations over coffee, he consistently brought out the best in those around him, especially me. I learned not only how to be more effective in my role, but how to lead with purpose and stay true to my values.

Trying to describe Kevin is complex, as he is multifaceted.  Anyone who has ever met him knows he is brilliant, albeit very humble.  What people may not know about Kevin, is that he is a remarkable dog-dad, world class shopper, bird rescuer and a world champion at the Wal-Mart claw machine. 

What began as a professional relationship has since grown into something more meaningful: a friendship that has stood the test of time—rooted in trust, shared values, and mutual respect that extends far beyond the workplace.
